Bicycle trailers can be a very convenient way of transporting cargo when riding your bike. They can be used to carry everything from bags and supplies to your child or dog. Single
wheel bicycle trailers are excellent for riding on narrow paths and
off-road riding. They are more balanced and therefore, are less
likely to tip over than two-wheel bike trailers. However, single
wheel bicycle trailers have a much lower cargo capacity than their
counterparts, have to be loaded and unloaded evenly and can wobble if
overloaded.
Two-wheel bicycle trailers have a much greater cargo capacity than single-wheel bike trailers and do not have to be loaded or unloaded symmetrically. Disadvantages are that they are wider, so they cannot be ridden on many narrow paths or trails and can tip over when turning at higher speeds.
